David is an alumnus of Opendoor and was a lead ML engineer on the Pricing team. In the past, he's worked on Discord, Twitch, Figma, and SpaceX's flight software. On the side, he loves competitive programming and was an ICPC world finalist. David received his B.S. in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania.
Liezl worked on production deep learning models on the Machine Translation team at Facebook AI. She built the company's first speech translation model and published papers at top ML conferences. Later, Liezl started a statistical genetics company with Stanford IVF and was an early engineer at an enterprise search startup that achieved unicorn status in May 2022 despite a turbulent market. In her free time, she likes to play poker at small stakes cash games. Liezl received her B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Van is equal parts engineer and designer, with a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She's worked at CBS as a software engineer, helping launch their OTP product which gained over 100k users by the end of the first year. Van was also the lead engineer on multiple Disney teams, which fell under the umbrella video team that provided internal toolings for various studios. She is also a serial 1st engineer hire for startups. In her spare time you can find her knitting or running.
0xIsshiki has spent his career writing high-stakes code, including smart contracts that continue to secure hundreds of millions of dollars of TVL, widely-used product features at Google, financial data feeds at Brex, and self-driving cars at Waymo. He studied math and computer science at Yale University. 0xIsshiki's love for computer science started from doing programming competitions in middle school. He is an avid rock climber.
Ben is a former engineer and a creative at heart. He's worked mainly in ad tech, beginning with a startup that built a creative automation tool for advertising and marketing. He later joined a media conglomerate as a lead backend engineer for the programmatic ad buying team, responsible for millions of dollars of ad campaign budget for major brands. On the side, he runs a small coffee business with a group of friends. He loves making ceramics, editing memes, and is an avid cyclist. Ben received his B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Andrew worked as a trader on the index options desk at DRW, where he developed profitable low frequency trading strategies. He is all about automation and does not believe in the efficient market hypothesis. If he isn't in the outdoors hiking in his free time, he enjoys playing small stakes poker and casually trading on his personal account. Andrew received a dual B.S. in Statistics and Computational and Applied Math.
